Which gadget to upgrade first in Rip It! Card Collector? Start with PRICE INCREASE MODULE. It raises what every duplicate sells for from that point on, so it compounds on every card you clear, while the speed upgrades only shorten waiting.

Which gadget to upgrade first: PRICE INCREASE MODULE
PRICE INCREASE MODULE is the earliest-compounding purchase on the screen. It raises what cards sell for, and because it applies to every duplicate cleared from that point on, it lifts both your pack-buying power and your Black Market spending at once. Its ladder runs to ten levels.
AUTO DUPE DISPOSER (5 levels) is the natural companion to it: once duplicates clear themselves, the money keeps flowing even while you are filing new cards.
If your bottleneck is opening speed rather than income, the machine that fixes that is the Rip Rig. How the Rip Rig Works covers the chamber, the lever and the upgrades around it.
You cannot buy your way ahead of your collection
The ordering is constrained by where the currency comes from rather than by the game handing out an order. Gadget Points arrive only from levelling, and levelling comes only from filing new cards, so upgrades unlock in the order your binder progress reaches them.
On the GADGETS screen, entries show the current level against the maximum, and ones you cannot afford yet carry a padlock.
Every gadget and how far it goes
The GADGETS screen groups every entry into five groups.
| Group | Gadget | Levels | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
MONEY MAKING | ST-OINKS | 10 | Increases money generated over time by the piggy bank |
MONEY MAKING | FAT PIGGY | 10 | Raises piggy bank income |
MONEY MAKING | PRICE INCREASE MODULE | 10 | Raises what cards sell for |
MONEY MAKING | AUTO DUPE DISPOSER | 5 | Disposes of duplicates for you |
AUTOMATIC BINDER SLOTTING | BINDER BOT CAPACITY | 5 | Sets how many cards the Binder Bot files per run |
AUTOMATIC BINDER SLOTTING | BINDER BOT COOLDOWN | 5 | Shortens the wait between filing runs |
CARD OPENING ACCELERATION | PACK EXPANDER | 5 | Adds extra cards to every booster |
CARD OPENING ACCELERATION | RIP RIG CAPACITY | 9 | Sets how many packs the Rip Rig rips per sequence |
CARD OPENING ACCELERATION | TURBO RIPPER | 5 | Shortens the delay between rips |
BOOSTER PACK TYPES | GLIMMER PACKS | 1 | Unlocks the pack type |
BOOSTER PACK TYPES | EVOLUTION PACKS | 1 | Unlocks the pack type |
BOOSTER PACK TYPES | FIRST EDITION PACKS | 1 | Unlocks the pack type, and needs level 5 |
BLACK MARKET | UNLOCK | 1 | Opens the Black Market |
BLACK MARKET | MARKET | 5 | Black Market upgrade |
BLACK MARKET | REFRESH | 9 | Black Market upgrade |
BLACK MARKET | GRAVITY | 13 | Black Market upgrade |
BLACK MARKET | INSTANT | 1 | Black Market upgrade |
BLACK MARKET | SEARCH | 10 | Black Market upgrade |
RIP RIG CAPACITY runs nine levels, so it takes a long stretch of points to fill compared with a one-level unlock such as a pack type or the Black Market itself. FIRST EDITION PACKS is the one entry gated on level rather than on Gadget Points.
PACK EXPANDER and the three pack types decide what a single booster gives you, and Which Booster Pack to Buy compares them side by side.
Gadgets you cannot buy yet
Some entries, including BINDER BOT COOLDOWN and TURBO RIPPER, are greyed out and read NOT AVAILABLE FOR NOW, so they cannot be picked yet.
FAQ
Can you buy gadgets with money in Rip It! Card Collector?
No. Gadgets are paid for in Gadget Points, and Gadget Points come only from levelling up, so the currency is earned by filing new cards rather than bought. Cash is a separate currency: it buys booster packs from the SHOP and stock in the Black Market.
