How to make money fast in Rip It! Card Collector comes down to one habit: every duplicate that lands on the playmat goes straight into the Card Disposal Unit, and the cash that comes out of it buys the gear that clears duplicates for you.

More context

There are no timers and nothing to rush, so earning quickly is about multiplier rather than speed. Two money routes run side by side on the desk: selling the cards you do not need, and the piggy bank filling up in the background while you work.

How to make money fast: the disposal loop

After a rip the cards land on the playmat in front of the workstation. Anything already in your binder goes into the Card Disposal Unit, the chute at the front of the desk, which takes the unwanted copies and converts them to cash.

  1. Rip a pack

By hand at the start of the game, or with the Rip Rig once you own it.

  2. Read the reveal screen

Each card shows its number, its name, an element icon, a set symbol, a rarity marker and the price underneath.

  3. Check the binder

A card whose slot is already filled is a duplicate.

  4. Feed those duplicates into the Card Disposal Unit

Drop them into the chute at the front of the desk.

  5. Watch the running cash total

It sits next to the collection counter on the desk terminal.

How to sell duplicate cards: what each one pays

Every card carries its own printed dollar value, so what a duplicate pays depends on which card it is. Prices on the reveal screen run from $0.81 on a cheap card through $1.47, $1.94 and $2.72 on ordinary pulls, up to $15.28 on the most valuable card in the collection. The price is read straight off the card, so you can see what a pull is worth before you decide where it goes.

Everything you file instead of selling becomes XP rather than cash, so the file-or-sell decision is what actually drives your progress. The XP side of that same choice is covered in How to Level Up Fast.

Make more money per duplicate

The MONEY MAKING group on the GADGETS screen is the second money route, and two of its entries change what every sale is worth.

10 levels

PRICE INCREASE MODULE

Raises what cards sell for. This is the one that compounds, because it applies to every duplicate cleared from that point on rather than to a single payout.

5 levels

AUTO DUPE DISPOSER

Disposes of duplicates for you, which removes the hand-sorting step from the money loop.

10 levels each

ST-OINKS and FAT PIGGY

Raise the money the piggy bank generates over time, which is a separate stream of income.

How the Piggy Bank Works covers how that side of the desk earns.

Entries on the GADGETS screen show the current level against the maximum, and ones you cannot afford yet carry a padlock. Gadgets are paid for in Gadget Points rather than cash, so the cash you earn from selling duplicates goes into the SHOP and the Black Market.

Where to spend the money

The desk terminal menu reads SHOP, GADGETS, STATS and BINDERP. SHOP buys booster packs, and the Black Market is opened with money and stocks wacky gear and extra packs.

Cash buys packs, Gadget Points buy gear, and the first gear purchase is usually the one that pays for itself. Which Gadget to Upgrade First ranks the whole GADGETS screen and shows why PRICE INCREASE MODULE compounds fastest.

FAQ

What is the fastest way to make money in Rip It! Card Collector?

Sell your duplicate cards. Every card carries its own printed price, from $0.81 on the cheapest pull up to $15.28 on the most valuable card in the collection, and the Card Disposal Unit at the front of the desk converts them to cash. The PRICE INCREASE MODULE gadget is the first one worth buying, because it raises what every duplicate is worth from that point on.

Should you sell a duplicate or file it in Rip It! Card Collector?

A card already in your binder can only be sold, because filing only awards XP for a card that is new to you. That makes the choice about the card you pulled, not the copy of it: a genuinely new rare is worth filing for the XP it pays, and anything already filed is worth nothing as XP, so it goes to the Card Disposal Unit for cash.
