How the piggy bank works in Rip It! Card Collector: it sits in its own crate on the desk and saves up money on its own, so shaking it pays out cash even while you are busy with something else. It is the one income stream on the workstation that needs nothing from you while it fills.

How the piggy bank works

The piggy bank is a passive income source on the desk, separate from selling cards.

  • It sits in its own crate with a green readout showing the money it has saved against a $50 payout.
  • You shake it to take the money, and the cash sprays across the workstation.
  • The savings build up over time rather than per card, so it keeps earning while you are busy ripping packs, filing cards or selling duplicates.

Selling duplicates is the other half of your income, and the How to Make Money Fast page covers the Card Disposal Unit and what each duplicate pays.

Why it keeps paying while you play

Because the savings are tied to time and not to cards, the piggy bank is the income source that does not require you to do anything card-related. You can be filing a set, sorting a batch or watching your cash total and it is still climbing.

Other idle extras sit alongside it on the desk:

  • Popping the clickable seal.
  • Mashing some buttons.
  • Spinning the skateboard.
  • The workstation radio.

Upgrades that raise the piggy bank income

Two of the MONEY MAKING gadgets raise its output, and both cap at 10 levels.

10 levels

ST-OINKS

Increases money generated over time by the piggy bank.

10 levels

FAT PIGGY

A second piggy bank upgrade on the same 10-level ladder.

Both sit in the MONEY MAKING group on the GADGETS screen, alongside PRICE INCREASE MODULE and AUTO DUPE DISPOSER. Gadget Points arrive only from levelling up, so you cannot buy both on day one. Which Gadget to Upgrade First places them against the rest of the screen.
